The Paris Economic Development Corporation serves as the economic arm for both the City of Paris and Lamar County. Our mission is to foster job creation and retention by providing a range of support and business incentives that benefit employers and employees alike in our community. Target Industries
As a Type A corporation, we focus on the creation of “primary” jobs. A primary job is defined as a job that is “available at a company for which a majority of the products or services of that company are ultimately exported to regional, statewide, national, or international markets infusing new dollars into the local economy.” If a job meets this definition and is classified under one of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) sectors listed below it can be targeted by the PEDC.
