Reach higher with a community that thrives.
The Paris Economic Development Corporation serves as the economic arm for both the City of Paris and Lamar County. Our mission is to foster job creation and retention by providing a range of support and business incentives that benefit employers and employees alike in our community. We take pride in our incentive programs that have successfully supported local employers, including Campbell Soup, Kimberly-Clark, AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe, Huhtamaki, and many others. In our commitment to job creation, we offer unrivaled training and incentives, setting us apart from other communities of our size.
As a Type A corporation, we focus on the creation of “primary” jobs. A primary job is defined as a job that is “available at a company for which a majority of the products or services of that company are ultimately exported to regional, statewide, national, or international markets infusing new dollars into the local economy.” If a job meets this definition and is classified under one of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) sectors listed below it can be targeted by the PEDC.
