The Paris News – Paris Economic Development Corp has debuted a new website tailored to tell the story of Paris, Texas, and filled with data to inform and influence all who pursue its features.

PEDC executive Maureen Hammond gave the board of directors an overview of the site at a Dec. 5 meeting before the site went public. It was developed by staff in connection with locally owned DeadCat Media.

“Lea Emerson did an excellent job,” Hammond said of DeadCat’s cofounder. “Economic development websites are very niche, and she not only built special features tailored to our needs but she delivered a first-class, aesthetically pleasing website.

“Our team has had significant involvement in this process with content creation and organization of the data and in reviewing it,” Hammond said of Lauren Trejo, economic development specialist, and Steven Kelly, executive assistant. “Lauren spent a lot of time and effort on this as did our marketing committee.” (Dr. A.J.
