Newcomer’s Guide
From our famous Eiffel Tower, thriving downtown community, and world-class events, Paris offers a rich life at an affordable price.
Eiffel Tower
The tallest Eiffel Tower in the world
(with a red cowboy hat).
We welcome visitors from around the globe who are here to see our famous Eiffel Tower with the signature red cowboy hat.
The tower first appeared in 1993, however, in 1999 the addition of the 3.5 ft cowboy hat was added.
Next door to the tower is the Red River Veteran’s Memorial. Created in honor of Veterans, both past and present, we are proud to have such an impressive reminder that freedom isn’t free.
Downtown Paris
Locally owned shops and restaurants that reach higher.
Our thriving and growing downtown community offers many locally owned restaurants, specialty shops and attractions.
Centered around the Culberston Fountain, our historical district is a great place to view homes and buildings from the early 1900’s. Following The Great Fire of Paris in 1916, our resilient community rebuilt the entire city in just one year. There’s no other place to see concentrated architecture from this time period. Whether you’re looking for lunch with friends, a historical tour, or a new date night outfit our downtown is the place to be.
Lakes
Lake Crook and Pat Mayse Lake – fishing, camping, boating and more.
If you’re looking for outdoor places to enjoy the summer then look no further. Lake Crook is the perfect place to enjoy a day at the park or on the water casting a line.
Lake Crook hosts multiple boating and jetski races throughout the year and recently has a new beach area. The lake also features trails for hiking, outdoor grills, a pavilion and more.
Pat Mayse Lake features almost 6,000 acres of water-life enjoyment. From quality camping areas, RV spots, parks, to the famous Uncle Jesse’s fishing tournament, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the weekend.
